Understanding the Yahtzee Score Card

The Yahtzee score card is divided into two main sections: the Upper Section and the Lower Section. Each section contains different scoring categories that you'll fill in during the game.

Upper Section

In the Upper Section, you score based on the total value of specific dice numbers:

Aces (Ones)

Sum of all dice showing 1

Example: 1,1,3,4,5 scores 2 points

Twos

Sum of all dice showing 2

Example: 2,2,3,4,6 scores 4 points

Threes

Sum of all dice showing 3

Example: 1,3,3,5,6 scores 6 points

Fours

Sum of all dice showing 4

Example: 2,4,4,4,5 scores 12 points

Fives

Sum of all dice showing 5

Example: 1,3,5,5,6 scores 10 points

Sixes

Upper Section Bonus

If your total score in the upper section is 63 or more, you get a bonus of 35 points
